CS+X

In conjunction with the CS+X foundation, the Orpheum Children's Science Museum's former staff will be hosting an afterschool program for middle school students. This will be a special robotics program using LEGO Mindstorm kits to learn and develop robotics skills, critical thinking, and problem solving. 

This program will take place at 15 Main Street Champaign in the former News-Gazette building. The program will run from 4pm-6pm, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday August 31st-September 30th.

 This program is free for all students who qualify. To qualify students must either live in R3 zones or qualify for free or reduced lunch through their school. Snacks will be provided. To see if you qualify visit https://r3.illinois.gov/eligibility. Type your address into the search bar, if you are inside and R3 zone the map will appear yellow.

This program is located in downtown Champaign one block north of the MTD terminal. Multiple lines service nearby stops frequently throughout the day. For more information visit https://mtd.org/maps-and-schedules/plan-trip/. MTD bus tokens available upon request.

All participants must practice social distancing when possible and masks will be required for all indoor activities.
